The 2026 West Wimbledon Cricket Club AGM was held on Friday 6th February. It was the best attended in-person meeting in more than a decade and we look forward to the upcoming season.
The full minutes of the meeting will be circulated at a later date, but the key items of note were:
- New club development plan and overall strategy to be implemented over the next 5 years, driven by ongoing discussion with members on our club identity and values.
- Women's Team to join the Surrey Cricket Championship league for the first time.
- NTP (non turf pitch aka astroturf) pitch to also be used for 3rd XI & 4th XI, meaning we have two pitches at the same site for the first time since 2019.
- Various plans for facility improvements coming together.
- Annual subscription and match fee rates approved with offers for both new and existing members.
- Barry Brown becomes Facilities Manager.
- Emily Marsh elected as Women's Cricket Coordinator.
- Tom Campbell takes on the Social Secretary role.
- Henry Peirse becomes Sunday XI Captain.
- Tom Chapman appointed 2nd XI Captain.
- Tom Campbell moves to 3rd XI Captain.
- Emily Marsh wins the Women's T20 World Cup final tickets fundraiser with Max Johnson, John Kendall, John Jackson & Peter Andrews all earning runner up prizes.
