The "Performance of the Year" for the 2026 season is sponsored by Currie Motors. We are very fortunate to have Currie Motors as our main club sponsor and are incredibly grateful for their support throughout the season. You can find out more about Currie Motors here.
Team captains from the Women's XI, 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, Sunday XI, Wild West Dons T20, Bank Blitz & Bank Blitz, plus Club Chair & Director of Cricket, nominated performances from the 2026 season. The WWCC Management Committee then whittled this down to a shortlist of three for club members to choose from:
- Abby Mustoe was impressive in victory vs Battersea Ironsides in Surrey Cricket Championship Tier 2 Division North. The format of our women's league matches is eight a side pairs cricket, with each pair batting for four overs. Players therefore cannot score as many runs or take as many wickets as men's games, given the much shorter time frame. With the bat Abby scored 13 not out as part of her 4 over partnership as the team's highest net run scorer on the day. With the ball Abby then took the best figures of the match with 3/23 from 3 overs, plus a catch. The team won narrowly by just 7 runs in what was the final game of the season, to finish as runners up in our first ever year of league cricket. To view the full scorecard please see here.
- Felix Lamy scored a sensational 151 from just 122 balls for the 1st XI vs Ewell in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central. The innings included 22 fours and 4 sixes and was all the more impressive given the next highest score was 28. This helped the team to a match winning score score of 284/7, which was the highest 1st XI total since 2015. The records didn't stop there - Felix's innings was the first 1s century by anyone since 2021, the highest individual score by any club player since 2015, and the best 1s individual score since all the way back in 2002. - Umang Patel produced a fantastic all round performance vs Wandgas in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central. Firstly, a fine effort with the ball of 2/23 from 8 overs helped restrict the opposition to 170/7. With WWCC 49/2 in response the match was evenly poised, but Umang hit a personal best 83 not out to guide the team home by 8 wickets. To view the full scorecard please see here.
