The player of the month is for someone deemed to have excelled over the last month in league cricket and is awarded by the Management Committee. The July recipient is Felix Lamy.

Felix played twice during July and won the player of the match award on both occasions.

First up was a magnificent 151 from just 121 balls vs Ewell, marking a 1st XI league century for the first time by any player in 5 years. In fact it was the highest 1st XI score in almost a quarter of a century since 2002, and the highest by anyone in the club since 2015. A truly remarkable innings and it helped WWCC to 284/7, which was also the highest 1st XI score since 2015. This massively helped towards a convincing victory.

Felix followed up by scoring his second ton in a week with a brilliant 110 (108 balls) against a strong Sunbury bowling attack. This is the first time a 1st XI player has scored consecutive hundreds since all the way back in 2002.
