The West Wimbledon CC member of the month award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond in their recent contribution to the club. It's just one way of celebrating all the things our members do that make our club a fantastic community. Anyone in the club can nominate someone - look out for a Boundary Buzz email asking for this next time! The Management Committee then choose from those nominations.

The winner for January 2026 is Mark Streather.

Mark works tirelessly behind the scenes as Club Secretary, keeping the Management Committee ticking over and producing the Boundary Buzz email newsletter. In January Mark spent a significant amount of time remodelling the club development plan that outlines our aims for the future.

Changes include the aim of better defining WWCC's identity, of which members can expect to hear about as 2026 progresses. Our strategic focuses will be derived from this identity, which in turn sets medium-term ambitions over a 5-year time period. This will feed into key actions for the next year to work towards meeting the goals of the overall development plan.

This has been a considerable amount of work and was explained in detail at the recent AGM. It will help to ensure that the Management Committee is more consistently focussed on achieving both current and future aims for the benefit of all members.
