The West Wimbledon CC member of the month award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond in their recent contribution to the club. It's just one way of celebrating all the things our members do that make our club a fantastic community. Anyone in the club can nominate someone - look out for a Boundary Buzz email asking for this next time! The Management Committee then choose from those nominations.

The winner for June 2025 is Emma Green.

Emma Green has been instrumental in the creation of our new Women's XI. What began at the start of the year with just one person, has flourished into 20+ members thanks to Emma's hard work recruiting a team. From social media promotions, to persuading old football friends, without Emma's efforts it simply would not have been possible.

In June we hosted a tournament between two WWCC teams and Dulwich, with Emma captaining one of our teams to victory. We also entered a Surrey Cricket Foundation festival at Churt, with WWCC again providing two teams, and Emma's team again winning the tournament. Off the field Emma also organised a group social with a trip to the Oval to watch Surrey Women play a T20.

It isn't just women's cricket that Emma has been contributing towards, as she regularly helps to update our club social media channels. There has also been a guest appearance coaching the girls u13 team, as well as being one of our main match teas providers on Saturdays. Thank you Emma for your contribution to the club and long may it continue!
