The West Wimbledon CC member of the month award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond in their recent contribution to the club. It's just one way of celebrating all the things our members do that make our club a fantastic community. Anyone in the club can nominate someone - look out for a Boundary Buzz email asking for this next time! The Management Committee then choose from those nominations.

The winner for November 2025 is Barry Brown.

Throughout the year Barry has worked incredibly hard on the grounds at the club. In November this involved further significant efforts controlling the brambles around the perimeter of the site, plus fertilising the square.

Most importantly though, were the three days spent on site coordinating the logistics for the installation of the new NTP (non turf pitch) wicket. In addition to helping the contractors where relevant, Barry spent a significant amount of time ensuring that a bush was removed to allow a longer straight boundary on the new pitch. There were also groundworks around three drain covers to allow astroturf to be placed over them. This means the boundary on the existing grass pitch can be extended towards the pavilion by another 5 yards.
