The West Wimbledon CC member of the month award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond in their recent contribution to the club. It's just one way of celebrating all the things our members do that make our club a fantastic community. Anyone in the club can nominate someone - look out for a Boundary Buzz email asking for this next time! The Management Committee then choose from those nominations.

The winner for September 2025 is Robert Waller.

At the end of 2024 the name of the club was changed from Bank of England CC to West Wimbledon CC. One of the commitments made as part of that process was to honour the history of the club under our former name. Since then we have uploaded over 600 historic scorecards into Play Cricket, from the 1970s to the 2010s. For some of our older members this has added hundreds of wickets and thousands of runs to their statistics, and been a brilliant reminder of games long forgotten.

Robert Waller has been directly responsible for this and has dedicated hours upon hours of time to manually enter these scorecards into the system. It is fantastic to see the rich legacy of our club being remembered with so many matches now being available to view. Thank you Robert for all of your hard work, which in September alone amounted to 200 or so scorecards. That is on top of inputting most of the 2025 season on a weekly basis throughout the year.
