Fergus Ainsworth (86) and Richard Kendall (33) put on the first century opening stand for the 1st XI since back in 2018. The opposition recovered from 51/3 to post an imposing 243 all out with Ciaran Cartmell (4/38) the pick of the figures. Wickets fell regularly in the chase as WWCC came up short on 166/9, with the Johnsons (Max and Oliver) top scoring with 23 apiece.- Sunday XI lost vs Shepperton by 8 wickets.
WWCC racked up 201/2 declared thanks to Shiraz Husain (88) and Samuel Chadwick (52 not out). Alas the opposition knocked it off with three overs to spare despite two wickets for Mo Dilshad. - Wild West Dons T20 XI lost vs Hampton Hill by 5 wickets in the Surrey Slam group stage.
Shak Nawaz (41) and James Woodroof (37) helped WWCC to a competitive 148/8. The game was evenly poised at 73/4, but sadly ten opposition had just enough to win a tight contest with four balls to spare.
