Senior Cricket This Week (2 September - 6 September):

• WEDNESDAY: Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6-8pm.
• SATURDAY: 1st XI vs Walton on Thames (a), 2nd XI vs Trinity Mid-Whitgiftian (h), 3rd XI vs Old Wimbledonians (h).
• SUNDAY: Sunday XI vs Outwood (a).

Senior Cricket Last Week (24 August - 1 September):

• 1st XI won vs Cobham Avorians by 4 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central.
The opposition reached 67/0 from 14 overs and looked set for a big score, only for David Friar (3/27) to blow the game open. Wickets were taken regularly thereafter as WWCC came back strongly to limit the score to 171/8 from 45 overs. The match was in the balance when Richard Kendall (41) departed with the score on 123/5, but a brisk 38 from Shak Nawaz helped us home with 7 overs to spare.
• 2nd XI abandoned vs Hampton Wick Royal due to a waterlogged pitch in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central.
• 3rd XI abandoned vs Kingstonian due to a waterlogged pitch in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 12 East Central.
• Sunday XI won vs 54th OCA by 4 runs.
Skipper Henry Peirse (62) and son Alf (50 retired not out) led the way before a collapse from 99/0 to 149/8. Alf struck again with the ball with a superb 4/6 and a tense finale saw WWCC run out winners by just 4 runs.
