Senior Cricket This Week (5 May - 11 May):

The Surrey Cricket Championship season has finally arrived!

• WEDNESDAY - Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6-8pm. Sessions are now outdoors and for the first few weeks will be at the earlier time due to fading light, before switching to 7-9pm from 14th May.
• SATURDAY - 1st XI vs Spencer (away), 2nd XI vs Alleyn (home), 3rd XI vs Kingstonian (away).
• SUNDAY - Sunday XI vs Sanderstead (away).

Senior Cricket Last Week (28 April - 4 May):

• 1st XI lost vs Wandgas (scorecard here) by 2 wickets. Ian White (36) top scored in a score of 120 all out, with Rohit Nag (3-11) leading the way in reducing Wandgas to 68/8. Alas their skipper batted superbly, to lead them to a narrow victory with 4 overs remaining.
• 2nd XI won vs Wandgas (scorecard here) by 8 wickets. For future quiz masters, our own Peter Andrews is the answer to the question "who was the first WWCC victim at home", having volunteered to play for the opposition. Oliver Chadwick (3/43) helped restrict the opposition to 165 all out. Saif Sajid and Tom Campbell both made unbeaten 50s in a 3rd wicket partnership of 113 to guide WWCC home to our first victory of the 2025 season.
• Sunday XI lost vs Englefield Green (scorecard here) by 79 runs. The opposition were limited to 171/9 thanks to Matt Luddington (3/18) and Arin Gramopadhye (3/23), but we came up short in the chase at 92 all out.

Junior Cricket This Week (5 May - 11 May):

• WEDNESDAY - Girls U11 - U13 Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6pm - 7.30pm.
• FRIDAY - Boys U11 - U14 Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6.30 - 8.30pm.
• SUNDAY - Boys U14s Alleyn (home), Boys U11s Epsom (away).

Junior Cricket Last Week (28 April - 4 May):

• Boys U14 lost vs Sutton by 9 wickets.

Upcoming Events This Month (5 May - 5 June):

• Saturday 11th May - Start of Season Social at West Wimbledon CC.
