Senior Cricket Last Week (26 May - 1 June):
- 1st XI lost vs Brentford (scorecard here) by 69 runs in SCC Division 7 Central. Arin Gramopadhye (4/41) bowled well but the opposition no 3 managed to score 123 out of a total of 211 all out. De Villiers Lategan (41) led the way with the bat but we came up short on 142 all out.
- 2nd XI lost vs Morden (scorecard here) by 5 wickets in SCC Division 10 North. We folded to 70 all out, which wasn't enough despite claiming 5 wickets in return. On to next week...
- 3rd XI won vs Chessington (scorecard here) by 7 wickets in SCC Division 12 East Central. Abdul Majeed (3/25) helped bowl the opposition out for 129, before Peter Andrews notched a second consecutive half centry with a match winning 55 not out. Victory at long last and the first since May last year.
- Sunday XI #1 won vs Flying Ducksmen (scorecard here) by 164 runs. Harsh Raval (93) led the way as part of a monster 280/7 declared. Usman Hafeez (4/26) did the damage with the ball to bowl the opposition out for 116.
- Sunday XI #2 lost vs Byfleet (scorecard here) by 9 runs. The opposition managed to rack up 280, before Matt Luddington (109) and Alf Peirse (42) made the best of the chase. Alas we came up just 9 runs short, but it was a wonderful effort.
