Weekly update on what's coming up for WWCC, plus results from last week. Full details for all training and fixtures can be found within Pitchero.

Senior Cricket This Week (15 - 21 June):

  • WEDNESDAY: Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 7-9pm.
  • SATURDAY: 1st XI vs Maori Oxshott (h), 2nd XI vs Blue Wings (a) in the Surrey Cricket Championship, 3rd XI vs Old Hamptonians (h), 4th XI vs Merton (a)
  • SUNDAY: Sunday XI vs Worcester Park (a).

Senior Cricket Last Week (8 - 14 June):

  • 1st XI won vs East Molesey by 58 runs in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central.
  • Richard Kendall (84 not out) anchored the innings as WWCC made 187/8. At 117/4 the game was in the balance, but Arin Gramopadhe (4/18) and captain Andrew Merriman (4/17) skittled the lower order as the final 6 wickets fell for just 11 runs. With a third of the season completed, the 1st XI sit in fifth place in the table.
  • 2nd XI won vs Worcester Park by 36 runs in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central.
  • Six players made double figures with skipper Tom Chapman (25 not out) top scoring in a total of 156 all out. WWCC were always on top with Mo Dilshad (3/19) the pick of the figures as the opposition were bowled out for 120. With a third of the season completed, the 2nd XI sit in second place in the table.
  • 3rd XI won vs Wallington by 6 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 12 East Central.
  • The opposition were bowled out for 147 as Freddie Carty took 4/21. The batting response did not begin well at 24/3 but Brad Skelly (61) and Niall Johnson (49 not out) impressively piled on the runs for a comfortable victory with 6 overs to spare. With a third of the season completed, the 3rd XI sit in second place in the table.
  • 4th XI lost vs Banstead by 5 wickets.
  • It was the first game of the season for the 4th XI and late drop outs meant the match was reduced to nine a side. WWCC racked up a competitive 143/5 from 35 overs with Ollie Chadwick (39) top scoring. The opposition chased it down with 7 overs to spare in a good game of cricket despite a solid team bowling and fielding performance.
  • Sunday XI won vs Maori Oxshott by 4 wickets.
  • Seven different bowlers took a wicket as the opposition were bowled out for 116. Freddie Bender hit 42 in the chase and despite a late wobble, WWCC ran out winners with plenty of overs to spare.

  • All Stars (Mixed U5-U7) Training at West Wimbledon CC from 5.15 - 6.15pm.
  • Dynamos (Boys U8 - U9 & Boys U10 - U11) Training at West Wimbledon CC from 6.30 - 8pm.
  • Dynamos (Girls U8 - U11) Training at West Wimbledon CC from 6.30 - 8pm.

SUNDAY:

  • Girls U9-11s vs Hampton Hill (a).
  • U8s vs Old Rutlishians (a).

  • U15s won vs Malden Wanderers by 5 wickets.
  • U11s won vs Merton by 35 runs.
  • Girls U9s-U11s won vs Hampton Wick Royal by 4 runs.
