Highlights included:

-Andrew Merriman’s absolutely ludicrous 5 catches, including a sharp Caught and Bowled and 4 after taking up residence at Long On. A potential match record for a non-keeper?
-Stef and Jacko clearing the ropes with some glorious shots -Max’s ingenuity with the bat featuring in his innings, including boundaries resulting from a reverse sweep and a ramp -Stef’s diving one-handed catch to get their opener, which would have been the catching highlight had the resulting Merriman antics not occurred.
-Stand-in skipper Streather having to explain the Surrey Slam rules to the oppo umpire, who then ended up chastising him for walking up to his mark, despite letting the oppo quicks run in from 18 paces.
-Top work as ever behind the stumps from Joe Mac, including a reaction catch standing up
