Senior Cricket This Week (10 - 16 August):

• TUESDAY: Bank Blitz vs HMRC Dragons (a).
• WEDNESDAY: Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6-8pm.
• SATURDAY: 1st XI vs East Molesey (h), 2nd XI vs Worcester Park (a), 3rd XI vs Wallington (a).
• SUNDAY: Sunday XI vs Abinger (a).

Senior Cricket Last Week (3 - 9 August):

• 1st XI won vs Chessington by 2 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central.
James Gawn (3/26) broke through the opposition top order resistance, but a slightly below par fielding performance enabled them to still set 169/7 from 45 overs. James Tait (68) led the batting charge, but 126/2 turned into 162/8 and a tense finish. With nerves high Arin Gramopadhye (18 not out) held his to claim a narrow victory with four overs to spare.
• 2nd XI lost vs Wimbledon by 148 runs in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central.
10 dropped catches allowed the opposition league leaders to post a mammoth 270/6 from 40 overs. Umang Patel top scored with 43, but WWCC could only manage 122 all out i na heavy defeat.
• 3rd XI won vs Epsom by 19 runs in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 12 East Central.
Oliver Chadwick (48) and Brad Skelly (40) helped WWCC post a competitive 182/8 from 40 overs. Josh Bastian (4/24) blew away the order, but the opposition battled hard as momentum switched between the sides. Dylan Morgan (3/30) stepped up to bowl them out for 163 with two overs of the match remaining for a close win.
• 4th XI lost vs Guildford by 7 wickets.
Ciaran Cartmell (31) and Matt Mann (29 not out) helped WWCC post 151/8 from 40 overs. Debutant Jonny Down took 2/29 on debut but the opposition batting was impressive and they ran out comfortable winners.
• Sunday XI won vs Bricklayers Arms by 7 wickets.
There were six different wicket takers as the opposition managed 151 all out. The chase was a quick one and completed in just 24 overs with Sid Goud (46) and Samuel Chadwick (38 not out) leading the way.
