Senior Cricket This Week (24 August - 1 September):

• WEDNESDAY: Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6-8pm.
• SATURDAY: 1st XI vs Cobham Avorians (h), 2nd XI vs Hampton Wick Royal (a), 3rd XI vs Kingstonian (a).
• SUNDAY: Sunday XI vs Kempton (a), Bucks Tour XI vs Hyde Heath (a).
• MONDAY: Bucks Tour XI vs Little Missenden (a).
• TUESDAY: Bucks Tour XI vs Ley Hill (a).

Senior Cricket Last Week (17 - 23 August):

• 1st XI lost vs Maori Oxshott by 9 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central.
An excellent opposition bowling attack limited WWCC to 93 all out, which was then knocked off in just 13 overs. Not the finest (or longest) day at the office!
• 2nd XI lost vs Blue Wings by 1 wicket in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central.
John Jackson (67 not out) helped the score to 185/7 from 40 overs in a potential promotion deciding game. Mo Dilshad (4/24) took apart the top order, but a strong opposition line up battled through to 165/6. A mini collapse turned into 177/9, but alas the final pair held their nerve in a tense finale to win with just one over to spare.
• 3rd XI lost vs Wimbledon by 140 runs in a friendly due to a bye in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 12 East Central.
The opposition hit an enormous 263/8 from 40 overs which was always likely to be a tough ask. At 32/5 it could have been a record breaking defeat but the tail wagged to reach 123 all out for a degree of respectability.
• Sunday XI lost vs Crossbats by 130 runs.
The opposition smashed 228/8 from 35 overs despite the best efforts of Mo Dilshad (3/30). The WWCC chase fell short on just 98/7 with skipper Arin Gramopadhye (33) top scoring.
• Sunday XI won vs Guildford by 115 runs.
Samuel Chadwick (96), Alf Peirse (57 not out) and Matt Saich (48 not out) were all very impressive in helping rack up a huge 327/9 from 40 overs. Tom Chapman (3/20) and Oliver Chadwick (3/28) did most of the damage in reducing the opposition to 212 all out. Victory meant a 10th win of the season for the Sunday XI, which is the most in the last 20 years.

Women's Cricket This Week (24 August - 1 September):

• Season finished!

Women's Cricket Last Week (17 - 23 August):

• 1st XI won vs Battersea Ironsides by 7 runs in Surrey Cricket Championship Tier 2 North.
WWCC batted first and Abby Mustoe top scored as part of a competitive 104/5 from 16 overs for a pairs net score of 279. The opposition batting scored runs, but Mustoe (3/21), Isabel Marsh, Emily Marsh & Khloe Treloggan all claimed wickets to keep the pressure on. Going into the last over just 5 runs were needed, and with the scores almost level Liz Harvey (2/10) claimed a crucial wicket to help record a brilliant win. The opposition reached 117/ from 16 overs for a pairs net score of 272. The result ensured the team finished an impressive 3rd in their debut league season.
