Senior Cricket This Week (3 - 9 August):

• WEDNESDAY: Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 7-9pm.
• SATURDAY: 1st XI vs Chessington (a), 2nd XI vs Wimbledon (h), 3rd XI vs Epsom (h), 4th XI vs Guildford (a).
• SUNDAY: Sunday XI vs Bricklayers Arms (a).

Senior Cricket Last Week (27 July - 2 August):

• 1st XI lost vs Old Hamptonians by 8 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 8 Central.
An excellent opposition bowling attack reduced WWCC to 48/8, before a Shak Nawaz (38) counter-attack led the side to 127 all out. The opposition are currently second in the league and showed why as they strolled to a comfortable victory two down.
• 2nd XI won vs Wandgas by 8 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 11 East Central.
A good team bowling performance helped limit the opposition to 170/7. WWCC were 49/2 and the game evenly poised, but Umang Patel (83 not out) and John Jackson (59 not out) combined to bring home the victory.
• 3rd XI won vs Surrey Titans by 3 wickets in Surrey Cricket Championship Division 12 East Central.
There was early controversy with a rare early incidence of a batter being out obstructing the field (handled ball), which seemed to set the tone for a spicy game. Jimmy Adamson (3/18) led the way with the ball as the opposition league leaders were restricted to 169 all out. Skipper Tom Campbell (51) shepherded the chase and a mini collapse late on led to the opposition getting very excited. Young Dylan Morgan kept his nerve to hit the winning runs to secure a tense victory and second place in the table.
• Bank Blitz won vs HMT by 6 wickets.
The opposition managed 199/8 from their 40 overs with the wickets shared around. Samuel Chadwick (58) led the way as WWCC ran out winners with 10 overs to spare.
• President's XI won vs Club XI by 3 wickets.
